SCR records best ever performance in April 2023

South-Central Railway (SCR) has commenced financial year 2023-24 with its best-ever performance in passenger and freight segments for April 2023. Its originating passenger revenue stood at Rs 4.65 billion during April 2023. Nearly 21.9 million passengers moved in April 2023, 27.1 per cent higher than the 17.33 million in April 2022. On the freight side, SCR registered freight loading of 11.29 mt in April 2023, 7.5 per cent higher than the freight loading in April 2022. Freight revenue grew by 18 per cent to Rs 11.05 billion in April 2023, while it stood at Rs 9.37 billion in April 2022.
