MNRE announces major reforms in the ALMM for solar PV modules

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced reforms in its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) me­cha­­nism for solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. The reforms are aimed at reducing costs for solar PV manufacturers. They are also aimed at im­proving ease of doing business. The major reforms include a reduction in the application fee by 80 per cent and an increase in ALMM enlistment validity from two years to four years.
