Construction work on the 42 km-long Sahibabad-Meerut stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project has been completed. Besides, a 17 km stretch from Sahibabad to Duhai in Ghaziabad is likely to be operational soon. The project involves development of an 82.15-km-long RRTS connecting the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 302.74 billion.
