Commercial production at the Barmer refinery-cum-petrochemical complex is likely to commence by December 31, 2024. The project involves setting up a 9 million tonne per annum (mtpa) capacity oil refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Barmer district of Rajasthan. It is being implemented by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Rajasthan State Refinery Limited, which have equity stakes of 74 per cent and 26 per cent respectively.
