Indian Railways (IR) plans to commence operations of Vande Bharat trains on five more routes from June 26, 2023. The routes on which the five trains will operate are Mumbai-Goa, Bangalore-Hubli, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, and Bhopal-Jabalpur. MoR had canceled the launch of the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat train after the Odisha tragedy. This is the first time that five Vande Bharat trains will start operations on the same day. Trial run of the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat train is expected to begin after its seven coaches reached Patna railway junction on June 13, 2023. Meanwhile, Mobility Solutions Limited (MSL) has bagged a contract worth Rs 1 billion from IR for delivering and installing several essential components for the Vande Bharat Express. Reportedly, the company is in the process of delivering and fulfilling the order.
