Naini Saini Airport in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, has received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for flight services. The airport is currently managed by the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA). The DGCA has awarded an aerodrome licence for the airport to UCADA to promote air connectivity in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.
