MoU signed between Bihar government and AAI for construction of new civil enclaves at Darbhangaand Purnia Airport

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the government of Bihar and AAI for the construction of new civil enclaves at Darbhanga Airport and Purnia Airport in Bihar on June 5, 2023. Around 52.18 acres of land will be provided free of cost by the government of Bihar to AAI for the construction of the new civil enclave at Purnia airport. It will also provide around 76.65 acres of land to AAI for the construction of the new civil enclave at Darbhanga airport. This includes 52.65 acres of land for the civil enclave and 24 acres of land for the category-1 approach light system. A total of 78 acres of land has already been allocated to AAI at Darbhanga airport till February 2023. This development of civil enclaves at both airports will enhance the air connectivity of the north Bihar region and strengthen the economic development of the region.
