According to the Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana, the work on the 24×7 canal-based surface drinking water supply project in Ludhiana has been resumed. The project is worth Rs 33.94 billion and is funded by the World Bank (WB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. Four bids for the construction works of the project have been received and are sent to the WB for formal approval before allotment. Earlier, Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company had floated the tender for the execution of the project as per the detailed project report which was approved by the WB.
