Global investors eye road asset under TOT 12

Many global investors, including CDPQ, KKR, Cube Highways and IRB Infrastructure Developers, have evinced interest in acquiring a 361 km long highway asset under the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) toll-operate-transfer (TOT) 12 auction. KKR and CDPQ submitted bids via their InvITs, Highways Infrastructure Trust and the India Highway Concession Trust respectively. Bids for the Lalitpur-Lakhnadon stretch of NH-26 in Madhya Pradesh have been submitted and the technical evaluation is under way. In a similar development, the 82-km-long Allahabad bypass has received only one bid, from Cube Highways, under the TOT 11 auction.
