Blackstone has acquired a part of an Indian logistics company’s warehousing parks business that it had begun buying in tranches three years ago. The firm has now acquired a 10 per cent stake in five warehousing companies from TransIndia Real Estate Limited, formerly known as TransIndia Realty and Logistics Parks Limited. These five companies are Malur Logistics & Industrial Parks, Venkatapura Logistics & Industrial Parks, Kalina Warehousing, Panvel Warehousing and Allcargo Logistics & Industrial Park. In addition, Blackstone has bought 100 per cent of Allcargo Multimodal Private Limited.
Prior to this, Blackstone had acquired 90 per cent of another related company, Madanahatti Logistics and Industrial Parks, for Rs 64 million and invested Rs 1.7 billion in its debentures.
