The commercial operations on RV Road-Bommasandra stretch of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project – Phase II is likely to commence by December 2023. Meanwhile, first two sets of 6-coach trains are likely to arrive by August 2023, and additional train sets will begin arriving from September 2023 onwards from Titagarh Waggons. Besides, construction work has commenced at Challaghatta Depot. The project involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in the state of Karnataka at an investment of Rs 306.95 billion.
