A new taxiway has been launched at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on May 24, 2023. The new taxiway Z would serve as an extension of the existing taxiway P. Its addition would cut down the total taxi time post-landing and thereby, reduce the carbon footprint of the airport. It would also serve as a parking stand. This facility will further enhance on-time performance by reducing both the entry and exit time of the aircraft.
