Work progresses on water supply projects in Coimbatore

According to Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, the reservoir construction on Gandhima Nagar main road under ward 26 of the city has been 40 per cent completed, the pipeline laying works for 24×7 drinking water connection is completed while the others are expected to be finished by the end of July 2023. Works in some parts of the Sengaliappa Nagar and a total of 3 km of pipeline works is completed. Currently, the water supply is ensured for six hours in a day, and once in 10 days. Due to inefficient water supply, many households have borewell connections in the city.
