Work on tricity metro at Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali to commence soon

The construction work on the Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali Tricity Metro Rail Project is likely to commence soon. The project involves the development of a metro/metrolite project connecting the cities of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. The project will be implemented in three phases. Phase I will include three stretches: Sarangpur to India Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) Panchkula (18 km), Rock Garden to ISBT Zirakpur (35 km), and Grain Market Chowk to Transport Chowk (13 km). Phase II will include four stretches: ISBT Panchkula to Panchkula Extension (4.5 km), Parul to Sarangpur (5.5 km), Airport Chowk to Manakpur Kallar (5 km) and ISBT Zirakpur to Pinjore (20km).
