24×7 Pune metered water supply scheme observes progress on construction

About 60 per cent of the construction work under the 24×7 Pune metered water supply scheme has been completed. With this, the project is expected to be completed by August 2024. The project is being implemented in Pune in the state of Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 29 billion. It will treat 755mld of water. It involves constructing 103 reservoirs, utility shifting, pumping stations, laying of 1,700 km long transmission and distribution pipelines and installation of water metres under smart metering scheme.
