India’s daily peak power demand has reached 221 GW, recording the highest daily peak ever in the history of the country on May 17, 2023. Notably, the country’s power consumption was expected to reach 220 GW between April and June 2023, according to projections of MoP. Peak demand is expected to exceed 220 GW as temperatures rise across the nation.
