NaBFID to loan over $12 billion in 2023-24

The government-backed National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) may sanction close to Rs 1 trillion ($12.23 billion) in loans in 2023-24.
The infrastructure lender has sanctioned in-principle loans worth Rs 450 billion so far. Additionally, it is ready to disburse Rs 230 billion.
Moreover, NaBFID intends to raise about Rs 300 billion via bond sales in the same year. The first issue of between Rs 50-100 billion is likely to hit the market in June 2023. Going forward, the lender may also raise funds from banks and multilateral institutions.
