VRR gets installed at Lucknow airport for faster baggage clearance facility

Virtual Reunion Room (VRR) installed at Chaudhary Charan Singh airport in Lucknow for faster baggage clearance facility on May 7, 2023. The VRR is installed mainly for passengers whose luggage is retained with airport security in the in-line baggage screening (ILBS) area due to suspicious or prohibited items in them. VRR has both audio and video communication features and is installed near gate number one of the security hold area of terminal-2 of the airport. Reportedly, the facility will lead to fast-track clearance of the baggage from the ILBS area. The audio-video process will be undertaken after the consent of the passenger and the luggage will be opened in a secured way.
