Lufthansa and Air France-KLM may join Air India to bid for MRO company

Air India is looking to partner with either Lufthansa’s aircraft maintenance business Lufthansa Technik or Air France-KLM’s engineering vertical to bid for AI Engineering Services Limited once it goes up for sale. With a 25.1 per cent stake in Air India, Singapore Airlines will also be a part of the consortium through its engineering arm SIA Engineering Company Limited. Currently, the Indian government owns AI Engineering, the erstwhile engineering arm of Air India.
