Bisalpur-II project to reduce need for tankers and groundwater

The dependency on tankers and groundwater is expected to reduce in Jaipur with the implementation of the Bisalpur-II project. Currently, the Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) deploys around 600 to 700 tankers daily in the city, especially during the summer months. The tankers also rely on groundwater presently. PHED currently supplies 600 mld of water and aims to supply a total of 816 mld of water to Jaipur under this project. New connections would be provided to areas around Jagatpura, Pratap Nagar, parts of Bagru Bagru Assembly constituency and the colonies under the Kho Nagorian areas with the additional 216 mld.
