Reportedly, IR plans to commence trial run of the hydrogen train in 2023-24. The work on development the country’s first hydrogen train is underway. The Northern Railway has already awarded the contract to develop the hydrogen train. Operation of hydrogen trains will be a huge technological breakthrough for India.
