Torrent Power to supply 920 MW power from its gas-based plants

Torrent Power has won a contract to supply 920 MW of gas-based power from its DGEN and SUGEN plants under an NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVNL) tender. The Ministry of Power had designated NVVNL as the nodal agency for procuring up to 4,000 MW of power from gas-based plants during the April 10-May 16, 2023 crunch period, with actual offtake for 21 days. Torrent Power had participated in the e-tender and subsequent electronic reverse auction, and was awarded 920 MW (770 MW from its DGEN plant and 150 MW from its SUGEN plant).
