MoPSW issues draft on Sagarmala Innovation and Start-up Policy

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has issued the draft Sagarmala Innovation and Startup Policy. The policy envisages collaboration among organisations to build a strong ecosystem to facilitate innovation and startups in the country in order to drive sustainable growth and generate large-scale employment opportunities. The draft policy has identified several key areas for startups to flourish, including decarbonisation, optimising of processes through data, maritime education, multimo­dal transportation, manufacturing, alternative/advanced materials, maritime cybersecurity, smart communications and marine electronics.
