Madhya Pradesh government approves BPCL’s Rs 500 billion proposal for Bina refinery

The Madhya Pradesh government has approved the revised proposal worth Rs 500 million for the Bina refinery expansion project. Production is likely to commence by 2027-28. Bharat Oman Refineries Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), is planning to expand the capacity of Bina refinery from 7.8 mtpa to 12 mtpa, along with setting up ethylene cracker and associated units and ethylene and propylene-based petrochemical units for diversification into petrochemicals in Madhya Pradesh.
