Construction work at tunnels under VIP Road-Airport stretch of Kolkata Metro completed

Construction work at tunnels under the VIP Road-Airport stretch of the Kolkata Metro Expansion Project has been completed. Moreover, twin tunnels near the Bimanbandar metro station and approach tunnel ad­jacent to the Automated Mail Processing Centre (Airport Post & Tele­graph Office) have been completed. The project involves the expansion of the existing metro rail network in Kolkata by 88.55 km with an in­vest­ment of Rs 119.29 billion.
State grants approval for Gurgaon-Faridabad Metro
The Haryana government has granted approval for the Gurgaon-Faridabad Metro Rail Project. The detailed project report (DPR) for the same has be­en completed. The metro is likely to have 12 stations. The project in­volves the development of a 32.14 km long metro rail corridor connecting Guru­gram and Faridabad in Haryana.
