The work of laying pipelines of the Pimpri-Chinchwad 24×7 water supply project is underway and is likely to be completed in two years. Currently, the city receives water supply on alternate days and requires an additional water supply to meet its water requirements. The project is expected to receive 100 mld of water from the Andra dam and 167 mld of water from the Bhama Askhed dam. Amidst complaints about irregular water supply, the work to strengthen the system is ongoing. Two Ground Service Reservoirs in Sector 23 of Durga Tekdi area are being set up and a new pipeline of bigger capacity is also going to be set up from Nigdi to Dapodi.
