Commercial operations at Dhamra LNG Terminal to commence by May 2023

The commercial operations at the Dhamra Port liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal are likely to commence by the end of May 2023. The project has a 20 year take-or-pay contract to provide regasification services to Indian Oil Corporation Limited and GAIL (India) Limited for 3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) and 1.5 mtpa respectively. Dhamra LNG Terminal Private Limited, a company owned by Adani Enterprises Limited, is setting up a LNG terminal at Dhamra port as part of the Phase-II expansion of Dhamra Port Project. This LNG import facility will meet gas demand in Odisha and West Bengal. The project having 5 million tonne capacity is being set up in Bhadrak district of Odisha. The project would ensure distribution of natural gas to domestic users, auto-industries and others.
