MoPSW approves development of Oil Jetty 9 at Deendayal Port

The Ministry of Ports, Shipyards and Waterways (MoPSW) has approved the development of oil jetty 9 at Deendayal Port on April 17, 2023. The scope of work will broadly include construction, designing, engineering, financing, procurement, implementation, commissioning, operation, management and maintenance of the project. The project involves the construction of oil jetty no. 9 at old Kandla for handling all types of liquid cargo like petroleum, oil and lubricants/liquefied petroleum gas, chemicals and other liquids etc. at Deendayal Port at Kutch district in Gujarat on a build, operate and transfer basis under the public-private partnership (PPP) mode for a concession period of 30 years. The multi-user liquid terminal will have the capacity to handle liquid cargo of 3.5 million metric tonnes per annum at an estimated cost of Rs 1.23 billion. The construction period for the same is 24 months.
