CPP Investments to buy Goldman’s 14 per cent stake in ReNew Energy Global

CPP Investments has invested $268 million in ReNew Energy Global – the Nasdaq-listed parent of ReNew Power. The pension fund has bought additional shares of ReNew Energy from Goldman Sachs in a secondary transaction that will see its effective stake in the company rise from 31.6 per cent to around 51.5 per cent. The latest investment will make CPP In­vestments the majority owner of ReNew Energy.
