UP secures fourth position in providing tap water connections under JJM

Uttar Pradesh has secured the fourth position in the country in providing tap water connections under the HarGharNal scheme of the Jal Jeevan Mi­s­sion (JJM). As per the latest data released by the government, 8,187,394 rural households in Uttar Pradesh now have access to drinking water through household taps under the scheme. The state government is providing 30,000 tap connections in rural areas every day. Around 50 million people have benefited from the scheme so far. Bihar has topped the list by providing 15.9 million connections.
