NetajiSubhas Chandra Bose international airport to be privatised

The central government has decided to privatise the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. MoCA has prepared a list of 25 airports to be privatised across the country. The terms and conditions for bidding are in the process of being finalised. The airports that will be privatised in the second phase include Chennai airport, Varanasi Airport, and smaller airports such as Indore, Jabalpur and Kushinagar. As a part of this privatisation plan, a large airport could be clubbed with a smaller one, following which a bidding process will be initiated to sell them as a single entity.
