CMRL commences feasibility study for implementation of Bommasandra-Hosur metro

The Chennai Metro Rail Corporation (CMRL) has commenced a feasibility study to explore the possibility of implementing the Bommasandra-Hosur Metro Rail Project. Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Aff­a­irs approved the commencement of the feasibility study for the project. The project involves the development of a 20.4 km long metro network to connect Bommasandra and Hosur, in the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu respectively. Of the total length, 11.7 km will be in Karnataka and 8.8 km in Tamil Nadu.
