A consortium of Reliance Industries Limited and BP Exploration (Alpha) Limited is likely to commence production from its deepwater MJ gas condensate field at KG-D6 block, Bay of Bengal, soon. The R-cluster and satellite cluster commenced production in December 2020 and April 2021, respectively. Currently, the two clusters are producing a cumulative 20 million metric standard cubic metres per day (mmscmd), and the MJ gas field will help raise the output to 30 mmscmd.
