Kochi Metro Rail Limited has commenced preparatory works, including geotechnical survey for Kochi Metro Rail Project-Phase II. Besides, the soil testing on the Palarivattom-Kakkanad stretch and land acquisition has also commenced. The project involves development of a 11.17 km long metro rail network from Jawaharlal Nehru stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad as an extension of the Phase I in Kerala with an investment of Rs 19.57 billion.
