National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited has received an allocation of Rs 195.92 billion for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor Project in Union budget 2023-24. It involves the development of the 508.17 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail corridor in Maharashtra and Gujarat at an investment of Rs 1,080 billion.
