On January 23, 2023, MoRTH announced the construction of the Bamitha-Satna four-lane greenfield project. The project involves the construction of a 105 km-long four-lane greenfield highway connecting Bamitha to Satna, at an estimated cost of Rs 20 billion. Additionally, the ministry also announced the construction of the Agra-Gwalior greenfield highway, from the Yamuna Expressway to the Gwalior bypass via Shamshabad in Uttar Pradesh and Dholpur in Rajasthan.
