Digi Yatra app to be implemented by AAI at Kolkata, Pune and Vijayawada airports

On January 26, 2022, AAI announced that it is implementing the Digi Yatra app at the Kolkata, Pune and Vijayawada airports. This comes after the successful implementation of the app at Varanasi airport. The contactless services introduced through this app have seen rapid adoption. At Varanasi airport, over 25-30 per cent of passengers have been using them. The app facilitates seamless and paperless travel and can be used at the security check, check-in, and the second security check at the boarding gate. To utilise this service, a one-time registration on the Digi Yatra app is required via Aadhaar-based validation and self-image capture.
