The central government laid the foundation stone for the Badadal-Maradgi S Andola six-lane greenfield highway, part of Package II of the Akkalkot to Karnataka-Telangana border project under the Solapur-Kurnool-Chennai Economic Corridor (NH-150C), on January 19, 2023. The project involves the construction of a 65.5 km long six-lane greenfield road section of National Highway (NH)-150C and a part of the Surat-Chennai expressway, at an estimated cost of Rs 20 billion.
