REC to give financial assistance of over Rs 30.45 billion for Bengaluru Metro Phase-II

REC Limited will provide financial assistance to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) worth Rs 30.45 billion for the establishment and development of metro lines under the Phase-II project of Bangalore Metro.

The Phase-II project involves the extension of two existing corridors – Phase-I on East–West Corridor and North–South Corridor – as well as the construction of two new metro lines – one from R V Road to Bommasandra and the other from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara.

The new metro lines will run through some of Bengaluru’s most congested areas.
