Tunnelling work completed on Venkateshpura-Shadi Mahal stretch of Bengaluru Metro Rail Project – Phase II

The tunnelling work on Venkateshpura-Shadi Mahal stretch under package RT-04 of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project – Phase II was completed on December 16, 2022. Additionally, the tunneling work on 2.884 km long Shivajinagar –Tannery Road stretch has been completed. The signalling and electrification work for Reach 1A (Baiyappanahalli to SeetharamPalya) and Reach 1B (SeetharamPalya-Whitefield) of the project has also been completed. Besides, 72.64 percent work has been completed on the Kadugodi depot under the project. The project involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in Karnataka.
