City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) conducted trial run on the 5.96 km Central Park – Belapur stretch of the Navi Mumbai Metro Rail Project (Corridor I- Phase I) on December 30, 2022. Besides, commercial operations on the project are likely to commence soon. The project involves development of the metro rail network in Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra. It is being developed in three phases. The Phase I of the project involves development of an 11.1 km long metro rail network traversing from Belapur to Pendhar covering 11 stations with an investment of Rs 30.63 billion.
