Petronet LNG to set up floating LNG terminal at Gopalpur

Petronet LNG Limited and Gopalpur Ports Limited have signed a term sheet for the establishment and operation of the Gopalpur floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) terminal project. The project is likely to be operational by 2025 and will be financed by a combination of debt and equity. The project involves setting up of an FSRU-based LNG terminal with capacity of 4 mtpa at an estimated cost of Rs 23.06 billion. It has a provision for conversion to a land-based terminal with a capacity of 5 mtpa.
