An intelligent tray retrieval system (ITRS) was inaugurated at the Mopa International Airport on January 4, 2023. It is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based fully automatic machine that provides enhanced passenger security and advanced screening technology. It is manufactured by SJK Innovations Private Limited, a micro, small and medium enterprise, which is under the Make in India programme. This machine contains a dedicated module for high-threat baggage, which may require immediate action by airport authorities as it is equipped with image analysis software with advanced tools for screening. It also enables faster security screening of passengers as compared to conventional machines.
