The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has received a grant of Rs 10 billion from the central government under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme to tackle the sewage problems in the city. The municipal corporation plans to strengthen the pipeline infrastructure in the city and connect all households to sewage pipelines. Currently, 350 km of sewage pipelines have been laid in the city at an investment of Rs 4 billion, recei7ved under the AMRUT 1.0 scheme.
