Climate Angels invests in Clean Electric

Climate Angels, an angel investment syndication platform for pollution reduction and climate tech start-ups, has invested in Clean Electric, an energy storage solutions start-up, and helped it raise $2.2 million in a seed round led by Kalaari Capital. The round saw participation from the LV Fund, 7Square Ventures and the CIIE Regional Innovation Foundation. Clean Electric’s proprietary battery technology strives to address urgent safety and performance challenges for EVs such as battery fires, long charging periods and frequent battery replacement. With the financing acquired, Clean Electric hopes to set up a manufacturing plant in Pune to create 5,000 battery packs per month.
