MoRTH approves and sanctions funds for two road projects

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has approved and sanctioned funds for two road projects. The first is the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur Four Laning Road Project (NH-344B), for which Rs 15.53 billion of funds have been sanctioned. It involves the four-laning of a 48.62 km-long road stretch connecting Phagwara to Hoshiarpur bypass from -0.6 km to 46.9 km on the National Highway (NH)-344B and from 7.78 km to 8.9 km on NH-344A in Punjab. The construction period for the project is two years. The second is the Balikuda-Mulakani Two Laning Road Project (NH-55), for which funds worth Rs 5.11 billion have been sanctioned. It involves two-laning with paved shoulders of a 34.48 km-long road stretch connecting Balikuda to Mulakani on the NH-55 in the Cuttack and Jagatsingpur districts of Odisha.
