Centre inaugurates Nagpur-Shirdi stretch of Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway in Maharashtra

The central government has inaugurated the 520 km-long Nagpur-Shirdi stretch of the Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Express­way Pro­ject. The project involves the construction of a 701 km-long communication expressway from Nagpur to Mumbai, passing through Ghoti, Au­ran­ga­bad and Amravati, and connecting the regions of Vidar­bha, Marath­wada and North Maharashtra in Maharashtra. Maharash­tra State Road Development Corporation Limited is implementing the project in 16 packages under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode.
