The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to launch the Pune-Bengaluru Greenfield Expressway Project. Currently, the preliminary survey and alignment approval has been completed and the detailed project report is being prepared. The project involves the construction of a 699 km long greenfield expressway connecting Bengaluru to Pune at an estimated cost of Rs 500 billion.
