The central government has approved the construction of the Somasila-Siddheshwaram cable-stayed-cum-suspension bridge project (NH-167K). The completion period for the work is 30 months. The project involves the construction of a cable-stayed-cum-suspension bridge on the Krishna river, connecting Somasila to Siddheshwaram in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs 10,825.6 million.
