The West Bengal government has acquired about 34 acres of land for the development of Hasimara airport civil enclave project. The project will be implemented by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The process of land identification, demarcation and acquisition took place over a three-month period and the land was finally allocated at the Satali tea estate close to the air force station.
